SCOOTER SCUDIERI
_____________________________________________________

With his laptop in one hand and guitar in the other, Scooter Scudieri is
reinventing the rock star and redefining independent. Foregoing the
traditional methods of an agent, manager, or record company, Scooter is
utilizing high tech and high intensity to promote his music around the
globe. His fans dubbed him the Internet’s first rock star, an arguable
distinction, but one that he does not take lightly. Scooter considers
himself a soldier on the frontlines of a music revolution. His music offers
a powerful affirmation of the human spirit and is the driving force behind
his mission. Scooter is a self taught singer/songwriter who has opened for
more than 30 international acts including Dave Matthews, Nils Lofgren, and
Jason Mraz. He most recently completed a 19 date tour of the United States
opening for Jewel. Scooter launched his conceptual FIRSTROCKSTAR campaign at
the Global Entertainment and Media Summit in 2002 and the story continues to
grow. Scooter consistently defies the odds and obstacles of the industry by
circumventing the antiquated music business model. He believes the new music
business model contains two elements: the musician and the fan. “It is that
simple.” Scudieri’s lecture on the future of music “Capture Your Spirit,
Keep Your Soul” debuted in 2002 at The Berklee College of Music in Boston,
and now tours colleges and universities across the country. He is a member
of the NAPM (National Academy of Popular Music), the DCIA (Distributed
Computing Industry Association) and is endorsed by MEIEA. (Music
Entertainment Industry Educators Association) Scooter’s Internet exploits
have been featured in Billboard, Goldmine, Music Connection, and The Boston
Herald, to name a few. Scudieri's success is reflected in his many awards
including two Telley Awards, and a Golden Web Award in 2004. He was selected
as 2003's Best of the New Writers, by the Song Writer's Hall of Fame, for
which his song The Usual was placed on Volume One: Best of the Songwriters
Hall of Fame compilation CD. In 2005, Scooter joined forces with Santa
Monica’s EZTV and released a video for his controversial song “Mother of
God.” The video is a no holds barred critique on religion, politics, and
war. It was shot guerilla style with handheld digital cameras in churches,
mosques, and temples and utilizes war footage from the National Archives.
Since its release, Scooter has had the unique reputation of being the *most
searched* independent musician on the P2P Networks. Scooter is a full time
artist and lives with his wife and daughter in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
