RICK DUCEY
President, SpectraRep / EVP, BIA Financial Network

Rick Ducey is co-creator and President of SpectraRep®. He also serves as Executive Vice President of BIA Financial Network (BIAfn), the parent company affiliate of SpectraRep® . BIAfn, formed in 1983, is an established expert in strategic and financial advisory services, including merger and acquisition assistance, business plan review and development, fund placement, expert valuations, data management and research. SpectraRep® specializes in wireless broadband datacasting solutions via satellite and digital television (DTV-IPcastTM).

Prior to joining BIAfn and SpectraRep®, Ducey was a top executive at the National Association of Broadcasters for 17 years. He was Senior Vice President of NAB's Research and Information Group. In this position, he was in charge of the association's new technology assessment, audience and policy research, strategic planning, and information systems, including all Internet operations. He also developed publications and seminars. He has served on the faculties of several major universities teaching and conducting research in new media technologies, strategic marketing, research methodology and statistics.

Before joining NAB in 1983, Ducey was a faculty member in the Department of Telecommunication at Michigan State University where he taught and did research in the areas of emerging telecommunication technologies and strategic market research. He also served on the faculties of the George Washington University Graduate Program in Telecommunications Management and the University of Maryland, where he taught strategic market management and research methodologies. He has published a number of research articles and papers in these areas and serves on editorial boards of leading scholarly journals in the communications field. He worked at radio stations WSOQ-AM/WEZG-FM and Upstate Cablevision in North Syracuse, NY.

Ducey received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University, M.S. from Syracuse University and B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
